Exercise Arctic Bison 19

Yukon, February 2019

Ex Arctic Bison 19 employs the Arctic Response Company Group in a realistic location and scenario, demonstrating an agile and responsive capability as well as scalability to meet strategic goals for Canada’s Arctic. They continually build on skills gained on previous exercises and operations while safeguarding operational readiness within 38 Canadian Brigade Group.

Day 1

Staging in Winnipeg and arrival in the Yukon.

Day 2

Camp set up and daily activities, including cultural awareness brief.

Day 3

Avalanche Safety Training. The Rifles’ Commanding Officer and Regimental Sergeant Major visited the camp and oversaw the issuing of orders for the night.

Day 4

The Commanding Officer and Regimental Sergeant Major visit exercise locations, as well as meet with VIPs. Soldiers continue daily tasks.
